Catalog Art Fair

At the Catalog fair, Lumiere Gallery will present classics of Soviet photography, as well as modern foreign and Russian authors.

Large-format still lifes by Swiss photographer Anna Halm Schudel (independent photographer, lives and works in
In Zurich, in 2007, a personal exhibition of the author was held at the Historical Museum in Baden). Anna Halm Schudel’s works capture the graceful
beauty of buds in the last moments of their flowering and reveal to the viewer all the fragility and drama of the natural course of life. The author combines
decorative splendor with the main message of the vanitas genre: “Memento mori”.

A separate theme of the Lumiere Gallery stand will be modern Russian fashion photography. The diptych of the winner of the Still Art grant program in 2021
the year of Dmitry Bulin from the series “Exposing the Dandy” explores the phenomenon of dandyism and the possibilities of its existence in the XXI century. For the first time, the Lumiere Gallery will present works from the Oniomania series by Sergei Klychikhin, a two–time finalist of the Still Art program.

Classic black-and-white Soviet photography will be represented by collectible prints of iconic authors – Nahum Granovsky, Evgeny Khaldei, Igor Zotin and Yakov Khalip.

The Catalog fair will be held at Sytin’s printing house at 71/5 Pyatnitskaya Street.
