The “warming” of the 1960s also affected the work of Soviet Union journalists. Some previously closed institutions have become available. The Mathematical Institute of the Siberian branch of the Academy of Sciences in Novosibirsk is one of these newly opened institutes. One of the most advanced “high-speed electronic computing machine” at that time worked here. In 1962, something forced the scientists of this scientific center to decipher the language of the ancient Mayan tribe, and Yakov Khalip, on the instructions of the editorial board, made an essay about the work of scientists and their discovery.
