The main theme of Vladimir Stepanov’s works is Moscow with its streets, courtyards and their inhabitants. The life of the city and people is shown by the photographer in a new visual canon, formed in the 60s with the arrival of the thaw. Stepanov’s emotional and personal approach to portraying real life was crucial. This photo shows one of the courtyards in Starosadsky lane.
