Nikolai Khorunzhy believed that the most interesting thing in photography is a carefully thought-out and structured composition, and not the ability to capture the “decisive moment”. The production for him was never an imitation of naturalness. It confirmed the photographer’s skill as an artist. Nikolai Khorunzhy was one of the first to lay the foundations of scientific and artistic photography.
