The photo belongs to a series of black-and-white night images that became a landmark in the career of Wendy Paton and was called “Faces of the night” (Visages de Nuit). Paton worked on it for six years. It is interesting that almost the entire series has a female face, which may be related to mythology, which is important for the author and in which almost always the female beginning is the night.
