The most popular photo of Evgeny Khaldey – “Banner of Victory over the Reichstag” (1945) was taken on the roof of the building of the dilapidated Nazi Parliament. The image is widely used to illustrate the victory of the Soviet Union in the Great Patriotic War and is one of the most common photographs of the Second world war period.
