Send a request

The 1979 “walking feet” series is one of the most famous advertising campaigns created by Bourdin for the Charles Jourdan brand. For the sake of filming, Bourdin went to the UK, where he drove a Cadillac from London to Brighton, stopping on the way to take another shot: at Battersea power station, Brighton embankment, taxi rank, bus stop and rose garden. In this series, he applied an innovative technique for advertising photography. He refused to model and put Charles Jourdan shoes on mannequins of women’s feet.
