The photographer saw the great actress from a distance and photographed her so-called “hidden camera”. She was sitting on a bench near the Pushkin monument on the Arts square and reading the newspaper “Literature”. There were pages at her feet, and the photographer thought they had fallen and rushed to pick them up, but Ranevskaya said that she had already read them and put them on the ground so that she could take them with her. They started talking, the conversation was so interesting that the photographer forgot about his camera, and only this one photo remained.
