Born in Bremen, Germany, in 1969 Vincent Peters moved to New York City at the age of twenty to work as a photographer’s assistant where he later began his career at Giovanni Testino’s agency as a fashion photographer. Working for the Face & Vogue. Specialising in fashion & celebrity portraiture, his cinematic style has seen him shoot campaigns and for Magazines worldwide.
Approaching his subjects with an emphasis on the physical form and using impecable lighting, Vincent elevate’s his subjects to a position that often transcends their celebrity status. The viewer is given a portrayal of each muse that, paired with Vincent’s timeless photographic style, gives an honest insight into those who are often perceived as unreachable. There is a emotional authenticity that weaves itself elegantly through all of Vincent’s work. Bringing classical photography into a modern space, he maintains a sense of iconic timelessless throughout each piece.
This classicism has seen Vincent’s work exhibited extensively in fine art Galleries including Camera Work Berlin, fotografiska and most recently at the prestigious Palazzo Reale Museum in Milan and at Palazzo Bonaparte Rome with his current solo exhibition „Timeless time“.
His client portfolio includes work for Dior, Hermes, Lancome, Louis Vuitton, Miu Miu, Laura Biagiotti, Bottega Veneta, Diesel, Dunhill, Guess, Netflix, Nike and many more.
His selection of books “the light between us”, “personal” and “Selected works” were all published by the german publishing house Teneues.
