Filippov Nikolay

Nikolay Filippov (1948—2021) became interested in photography in 1964 at the Moscow City Palace of Pioneers and Schoolchildren. Since 1965, the young author has been published in Soviet newspapers and magazines, and in 1970 his photograph «On the Boulevard» was included in the list of one hundred of the best works by amateur and professional photographers. In 1972, Filippov graduated from the Journalism Department of Lomonosov Moscow State University. Since 1984, he has been a member of the International Organization of Journalists, from which in 1985 he received a medal for his contribution to the development of photojournalism.
