Lumiere Gallery will present three photographers from the USA at the Cosmoscow 2022 International art fair
COSMOSCOW, Gostiny Dvor exhibition complex
Lumiere Gallery Booth: D8
Lumiere Gallery will take part in the COSMOSCOW 2022 international art fair and present the works of three American photographers. Each of the declared authors is a bright representative of his genre and works with the Gallery in Russia on the basis of international agreements.
The Lumiere Gallery’s exposition will include four new works by the young star of art and fashion photography Rob Woodcox, whose work is already well-known by collectors and the public through successful exhibition projects in 2020. Greg Gorman will be presented with a series of works included in his last retrospective in Los Angeles and transferred to Moscow specifically for the fair. The last large-format author’s print in circulation is “Grace Jones in a hat. Los Angeles” (1991), 106 x 85 cm, will be a spectacular accent in the exposition of his works. Special attention should be paid to the legend of fashion photography Melvin Sokolsky and his works created for Harper’s Bazaar magazine, including the famous series “Bubbles” (1963) with models floating in transparent spheres, miraculously remaining in Russia after the closure of borders.
Lumiere Gallery is the exclusive representative of key and worldwide known photographers on territories of the Russian Federation. As part of the Gallery’s booth at the COSMOSCOW 2022 art fair, unique limited edition prints are being exhibited, whose numbers are coming to an end. Our main goal is to offer Russian collectors a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the works of leading photographers of the international art market in a local context, here and now on the territory of the Russian Federation.
