The iconic work of the avant-garde artist and master of reportage photography, Arkady Shaikhet, (Express) will be presented on the stand. The theme of sport – as the embodiment of movement – will also be featured in the works of photographers from the thaw period: Viktor Sakk (“To Dad in the Arctic”) and Yuri Shalamov (“Future Champions”). A modern interpretation of the theme of movement and rhythm will be demonstrated through the example of works by American photographer Rob Woodcox, whose compositions of human bodies in motion create ideal geometry, as well as Dutch photographer Paul Bruns whose characteristic elements in his style include color, rhythm, and geometry, which allow Paul Bruns to achieve graphicity and expressiveness in his photographs.
